After the party

After the party

we sat to watch the sun
rise over the lapping
ocean’s edge. A
first small red light to
bring us back to life.
Now it was over, I
wouldn’t stay in touch,
well probably not. It’s how
life goes isn’t it? Separate ways,
but good intentions leading
to years of silence. Razors
on the beach just seemed
to add finality to the moment.
Soft pebbles of love mixed with
razor sharp shells, it spoke to
me anyway. And that would be
it, nothing more and nothing less.
The end.

    • Thank you. I got the photo from wiki. The photo is in the public domain so no fear of breaking copyright. Wiki is a great place for photos apart from using my own of course.
